An officially designated Bord Failte Heritage Town, Trim boast a proud past few towns could rival. The Norman castle, the largest surviving fortification of its kind in the country, stands proud on the banks of the River Boyne. The castle was more recently used as the setting for the Oscar winning movie “Braveheart”.
